Our NHYF Tackle program is designed to teach our kids the game of football while instillng our core values. NHYF teams will strive to show incredible perseverance and resiliency, with a never quit attitude. We will play through mistakes and always stick to our philosophy. We believe it’s critical to always persevere — never give up and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Anything is possible through hard work and perseverance. Through team work,  determination, and integrity we are committed to bringing success to our team.

Eligible players:  Grades 4 - 8 for the 2019/20 school year                                                                                                                                     *(3rd graders turning 9 prior to 11/15/19 will be required to play on the 4th grade team)   

Divisions:  The Shoreline Youth Football conference is part of the American Youth Football (AYF) All-American division. The All-American division is a grade based, age protected format.  A grade based format allows your child to play with kids in and against kids in his own grade. Our divisons will be 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades for the 2019 season.

Season dates:  Our season runs from August through November.

Practices:  The first practice will be on Thursday August 1, 2019.  Prior to school starting, practices will be held Monday - Thursday 5:30 - 8:00 pm at Gateway Community College (88 Bassett Rd).  Once the games start, an additional practice will be held on Saturday mornings (times TBD). Once school begins, practices will change to Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings.  Saturday mornings practice times are dependant on the coaches schedule and field availabilty.

Games: Games are played on Sunday's beginning on September 1, 2019.  Each team will play 8 regular season games vs. Shoreline Youth Conference teams and are guaranteed at lease 1 playoff game (with the possibilty of playing 3 playoffs games if the team makes it to the Shoreline Championship game.  Home games are played at Vanacore Field, and away games will be at the opponents fields.

Equipment: NHYF provides all required equipment with the exception of cleats and a protective cup.  Our helmets are reconditioned yearly by Riddel to ensure we are providing the safest possible equipment.
